PREMIERE PLACE SSB WWA Sprint 2024

Un grand merci à toute l'équipe organisatrice, à l'ensemble des opérateurs de stations spéciales ainsi qu'à l'ensemble des concurrents.

Ca aura été dur !!!! C'est peu de le dire…
Je suis tombé sur le concours par hasard lundi en fin d'après-midi après avoir vu différents indicatifs se terminant par WWA.
J'ai vite compris le principe ayant déjà participer à ce genre de concours, bien content de cocher un maximum de slot dés le premier soir.
Ne pratiquant pas la CW ni le DIGI, ma participation ne sera que FULL SSB.Ne pratiquant pas la CW ni le DIGI, ma participation ne sera que FULL SSB.
Je me suis ensuite penché un peu sur les règles et là j'ai pris "peur", c'est à refaire chaque jour et pas uniquement une seule fois sur la semaine.
N'étant pas en vacances, les soirée allaient être occupées et les nuit bien courtes, c'est pas grave, je décide d'attaquer dur.
En tête au premier jours, je me suis lancer le défi de garder la place jusqu'à la fin.
Le deuxième jour, j'ai fabriqué et installé à la hâte une antenne long fil de afin de pouvoir prendre quelques points sur le 80M et me mettre dans les meilleurs conditions.
C'était sans compter sur une panne de mon antenne principale le troisième soir, j'ai bien cru à ce moment que c'était la fin et qu'il allait falloir que j'abandonne mais j'ai réussi à réparer et ne pas perdre trop de temps et de points.
Je me suis mis à faire des statistiques et suivre ceux qui pourraient être susceptibles de me prendre la place. (voir ci-dessous)

Le samedi, j'ai essayé de creuser l'écart au maximum pour m'assurer une bonne nuit et un dimanche moins intense.

FIRST PLACE SSB WWA Sprint 2024

A big thank you to the entire organizing team, all the special station operators as well as all the competitors.

It would have been hard!!!! To say the least…
I came across the competition by chance late Monday afternoon after seeing different callsigns ending in WWA.
I quickly understood the principle having already participated in this type of competition, very happy to check as many slots as possible on the first evening.
Not practicing CW or DIGI, my participation will only be FULL SSB.
I then looked a little bit at the rules and then I became "scared", it has to be done again every day and not just once a week.
Not being on vacation, the evenings were going to be busy and the nights very short, it doesn't matter, I decide to attack hard.
In the lead on the first day, I challenged myself to keep the place until the end.
The second day, I hastily made and installed a long wire antenna so that I could take a few points on the 80M band and put myself in the best conditions.
This was without counting on a breakdown of my main antenna on the third evening, I believed at that moment that it was the end and that I was going to have to give up but I managed to repair it and not waste too much time and points.
I started to compile statistics and follow those who might be likely to take my place. (see below)

On Saturday, I tried to widen the gap as much as possible to ensure a good night and a less intense Sunday.
